I am switching from plastic that we used with alex to glass. Do you use glass? I am going to try to breast feed but wasn't able to with Alex because of my breast reduction so we use formula. How did you decide on Dr. Browns?
Consider this cautionary tale: I stocked up on a variety of all-new bottles for Baby Charlotte, organized them beautifully in our cupboard, then anxiously awaited her arrival. She came and refused all bottles. Ever. Even with pumped breast milk in them. We were basically connected at the nipple (MY nipple) for the first year of her life.
And those new bottles? Still organized beautifully in our cupboard. Hopefully Candice's baby (and yours!) will be bottle-friendly.
Suffice to say, I'm so glad she's drinking cow's milk out of sippy cups.
Dear commenter (aka Christine), You don't suck. :) Oliver used Dr. Brown's bottles faithfully (three cheers for a breastfed child that is willing to occasionally take a bottle!!) and so we have a good stock.
My girlfriend down the street had a baby boy in August who refused her lovely (and expensive!) stock of Dr. Brown's bottles, so yesterday she handed them off to me to add to my existing stock. If she read my blog, she'd have left the same cautionary comment.
Here's hoping Hazel is willing to be a bit flexible from time to time!
(And to those who have asked why I chose Dr. Browns: They came highly recommended from lots of other Moms I know. And now that I have experience with them from Oliver, I too would recommend them. It's kind of a pain to clean all the little bits, but he never had too much trouble with reflux or spitting up, so I call that a success!)
we used dr brown's w/ brycen and i added to my collection for corbin when my sis n law just got done w/ them for my niece. i agree that cleaning the pieces can be a bit tedious, but well worth it b/c they seem to really work!
