This afternoon while we were waiting for dinner to arrive I noticed that the lighting in the living room was just so pretty. So, I slid the chair in front of the window and propped the camera up on the coffee table. I whispered my wishes to the shutter timer and actually managed some sweet pictures of me with my babe-a-roos.

Today I am thankful for pretty afternoon light and sweet, cuddly little people. And for yummy supper made by my big sister, delivered hot to my door.

And that the kids are asleep in their beds right now. That too. :)

Precious. The second one is my favorite. I love your contagious enjoyment of small moments - it encourages me to look for that in my day. :)

Raechel,

(I think I sent this to your etsy account; however, I'm not sure I did it correctly, so I'm posting here as well!)...

Hey! I'm not sure if you remember me, but this is Ryanne Johnston (I was in Abby's Mantor's girls' Bible study with you back at ONU....)! Anyway...I somehow got connected to your blog (probably through the Cases') a couple years ago and have been addicted ever since. I LOVE everything about your blog; your family, your home, your creations, your awesome Etsy finds....ok - I'm sounding like a stalker, but seriously, you have such an eye for color and fabric and style and a God-given gift of creativity. Thanks for sharing and for taking the time to post all your tutorials...I pass them on to many! I'm contacting you because I have a baby shower coming up for a friend. It is her second child, but first girl, so we are having a surprise shower for her. She has all her necessities, so we get to give her all the fun extra stuff and I immediately thought of your little Hazel and all her wonderful things she models on your blog from time to time. I've been searching the archives of your blog for your "Etsy" posts (thank you for doing all my homework...you've promoted adorable "shops!") and I will definitely purchase a burp cloth/bib set from you, and possibly a headband...but I was wondering if you would be willing to make a couple of your ruffle bum onesies as well?! If not, I completely understand...I have found some others on Etsy, but none are as stinkin' cute as yours (and it's fun to say that you know the person that made the gift...AND we all attend Jackson First Church of the Nazarene with Phil and Carol, so double bonus!). The shower is January 22nd, so I don't have much time, so seriously, I understand if you don't do special orders...just though I would ask and let you know how much I enjoy your blog. You are all beautiful!

These pictures are a special gift to me today, as I have been putting away Christmas items and reliving the days you spent with us over the holidays. The pictures reveal the love of this family, my family, and how blessed I am to have you. The pic of you and Oliver on the floor took my breathe as I recognized Oliver's father in his expression of joy at "just being." I love you all, Ryan, Raechel, Oliver and Hazel for choosing a life centered on God and family. You light up my life on these bleak Michigan days!

So, so sweet. You and your kids are so gorgeous.

Many months ago you posted your paint color, but now I can't find it. Do you mind sharing again? I love it.
