Hurrah! It's giveaway time again, y'all!

I have four fantastic sponsors this month and they're all going to do you right with giveaways and discounts and lots of things that I love. (Did I mention that I love my sponsors?)

Y'all are probably (hopefully!) familiar with Nourish Baby Organics by now. If not, you're missing out! Melissa (of The Nourished Nest) is actually a local (to me) small business owner and Mama of two sweet babes. She built her organic bath product business from the ground up when her oldest was a new babe suffering from eczema and now has her products on the shelves of many retailers (including our local Whole Foods stores)!

I'm so excited about her giveaway today because she's giving away my very favorite product she sells - the organic lavender oil. (Seriously, we have one in every bathroom and I try to keep one handy for baby shower gifts too.)

Remember these photos of Hazel (sometimes known as "Crazel" in our house) in the bath? That was when we first started loving lavender soaks and we have added oil to every bath since. (Last night Oliver smelled so good at bedtime. Mmm...)

Actually, Melissa is giving away more than just the oil. She's giving away an entire Organic Lavender Gift Set. This includes an 8oz. lavender wash, a 4oz. lavender oil and a 2oz. lavender balm. So much yummy.

Photobucket

For the giveaway, two ways to enter:
1. Leave a comment telling me either:
a. your bedtime routine with your babes, or
b. what you like to do on a rainy day
2. For an extra entry, tweet about this giveaway! Just be sure to include @RaechelMyers and @NBOrganics in your tweet. (and, of course, a link to the giveaway!) Leave a comment saying you did it.

And, if the giveaway isn't enough, a mini-giveaway for everyone:

Melissa is offering a free set of Organic Bath Teas with every purchase in her online store. Just enter "findingmyfeet" in the notes at checkout and she'll include the 6-bag set in your package for free. Think Mother's Day gifts!

I think we may have found just the thing to do on a rainy day!

I would love to win this! On a rainy day, we like to stay in our jammies and bake something yummy. :)

i LOVE a rainy day even more since having kids. i even love storms. there is something so amazing about knowing your kids are safe and warm and dry, snuggled in their beds when it's yucky outside that warms my heart. having those kids smells great would be even heart-warminger.

Since I'm babe-free, no bath routine. But I do love a good rainy day, especially if I don't have to work. Then it's all about my flannel pajamas, a cup of rooibos tea, and whatever book I'm currently reading. If I'm feeling really lazy, and I love a good few hours of Lifetime or the Oprah Winfrey network! :)

On a rainy day we like to hunker down with blankets and some fun movies and have a movie day! So much to everyone pick their favorite!

We do stories by Daddy and are working our way through CS Lewis' books. I'm going to have to try that nourish stuff whether I win or not :)

On a rainy day, I take the kids out to the garage and let them draw with sidewalk chalk!

I don't have any bebes yet, so I'll just say that my favorite thing on a rainy day is to stay in my pjs & watch lots of movies- preferrably Pride & Prejudice and other looooong movies. :)

Regina said...

Our bedtime routine is put on jammies. We watch 1 episode of the Berenstain Bears. Brush teeth. 2nd episode. Into bed. They each get one story of their choosing.

Morgan said...

Our bedtime routine consists of bath, a snack (if needed), books, then singing in bed. This gift set would be the perfect addition to the "bath" part of our night :)

Kate said...

I don't have a bedtime routine yet since my baby isn't here yet but on a rainy day I think my favorite thing to do is cuddle up on the couch or in bed and take a nap. Especially in the spring when it's still cool enough to need a blanket when you open the windows.

Thanks for a wonderful giveaway!

I love to catch up on hobbies on a rainy day -- sewing, editing photographs, making headbands for my baby girl. I also drink way too much (decaf) coffee on rainy days, thanks to my Keurig!

Rainy days are pj's, movie and popcorn kind of days...except there have been way too many rainy/stormy days lately.

We five spent the morning on the sofa watching the rain and watching Dancing with the Stars. Mosey rotated with Bea and Gus for the prime seat and Rowan slept. Is Dancing with the Stars inappropriate for kids? Hopefully my boys are too young to notice. Beatrice is making her little doll dance and change costumes.

I thought we were going to have big storms...it must still be coming.

Our bedtime routine with our 3 Girlies; bath time, jammies, brush teeth, each of them pick one story to have us read, then we turn out the lights and spend about 5-10 minutes individually with each of them; we pray together, talk about their days, what we love about them and close by signing them a song... their favorite right now is "I Have a Maker." Love that special time with each one of them at night... and would love to smell a little lavender as I'm snuggling them close! :)

I love this! My bedtime routine with 2 year old Avery Kate is this: bath and lotion (I use Aveeno's lavender lotion), brush teeth, read books, sing songs, say prayers, and then cuddle while listening to classical music. Sometimes she's so tired she'll request a skip in the routine bc she's so tired, but not often :)

steigler7071 said...

On a rainy day I love to curl up with a good book while my 2 year old daughter plays right beside me...often interrupting me! I love it and I fondly remember those times with my 19 year old son as well.

Unknown said...

On rainy days, I love to sit in my living room and watch the rain out the window. And at night, I love to go out with my husband driving and watch the rain.

Our bedtime routine is usually bath time, then pjs and then if it's early enough let them watch a little tv. Then brush teeth and my 20 month old will get in her brother's bed while we do story time and then tuck each one of them into their bed. I love doing story time now because my daughter loves to get all cuddly with her 4 yr old brother and it is just the sweetest thing to see.

Unknown said...

Our bedtime routine is fairly simple and I love it. Baths, Lotion, PJ's, Books, Songs, Prayers, and Snuggles for a bit.

Christine said...

OK, I'll bite, and it might flatter y'all, too! Our bedtime routine ALWAYS involves a bath because my children, weird as they are, thrive on that part of their routine. And EVERY NIGHT they ask if they can have the "nice bath oil" in their bath water, meaning, of course, Nourish's Lavender Oil. Now doesn't that just warm your soul?

Celeste said...

Shower, snacks & tv, pick up toys, brush teeth & then we read. Lights out by 9pm hopefully!

Thank you for all your great giveaways and tutorials, I just love your blog and you are the reason I've recently taken up sewing. :) On a rainy day, which I get quite a few of out here in Seattle, my favorite thing to do is curl up with a good book, light some great scented candles, and listen to jazz. The sound of the music with the rain combined with the scent of the candles is a little piece of heaven on earth for me.

My favorite thing to do on a rainy day (and the Northeast has had a LOT of them this spring!) is to light a pretty scented candle, turn on some music, and sew! Something about working with brightly colored fabric makes it easier to deal with a dreary day.

Ohhh I would love to win! At night, we have baths about every 3rd night (my kids have such dry skin and excema) and while I nurse the baby and put him down my sweet hubby gets the older one ready for bed and reads to her. Then we all cuddle in her bed, sing, and pray! :)

And I had no idea Whole Foods sold her products, I am so going to snatch some up!!!

Our bedtime routine is my favorite part of my day! We give our 2 yr old a bath, read a book (usually his favorite: Happy Birthday, Moon!) & my husband sings him a song called "The Night-Night Song" that he made up on a whim one night to make our son laugh. My husband plays this on a toddler sized guitar, which warms my heart!

Our bedtime routine with our almost 3 year old (who has bad skin and food allergies and would really benefit from trying some new bath soaps) includes getting into jammies, reading a story in the recliner with daddy, turning on music in his room and doing a little dance, getting tucked in by mommy and snuggling with his animals.

I would love that! Our bedtime routine starts with a bath (that would be made so much better with lavender oil!), then I spend plenty of time getting her into pajamas, with maybe a book or two thrown in for good measure. Then, I hand her off to Daddy to go to sleep. He reads more books, then walks her around the house for a while until she is sleepy.

I have three little girls... so as much as I try keeping our bedtime routine the same, it doesn't always happen. It usually involves giving them baths, lotion-ing them up, jammies, a little tv snuggle time.. then lights out. Oh, then the 3 to 4 trips back upstairs to tell them to settle down. :)

This stuff looks wonderful! Even the bottle is pretty.
I am a first time Mommy to a beautiful baby boy named Grayden. He is going to be 4 months next week, I can't believe it. We started his bed time routine when he was about a Month old. Daddy gives him a bath every night and let me tell you I LOVE this! It makes me so happy that they have their time together. I really feel like it's their special time because I leave this up to Daddy to do as he wishes. Then we dim the lights in his room, put on his pj's lay him on the floor and talk softly and get him ready for bed. I nurse him in the rocking chair one last time and this is MY time. I love this time just looking at him and holding him tight, knowing that everyone is right when they say it goes by to fast. So I really do try to cherish those moments!

When my girls were little on rainy days we would don yellow raincoats, yellow galoshes and umbrellas and take a walk. We often sang the old McDonalds commercial lyrics that went something like this: Quack, quack, waddle, waddle, we’re in luck. If it rains all day just pretend you’re a duck! Susan B.

Oooo, giveaway time! How fun. I've been reading about this line for a bit now (thru you) and I've been dying to try them but we're being oh so very budget concious right now so here's hoping I might win! It's beautiful here in So Cal but rainy days? Those are perfect for building blanket forts with my 3 & 4 yr old (while trying to keep the 6mo old from getting squished) and eatting pop corn. :)

jilljohnandhope said...

Our bedtime routine is well, chaotic. I need to do a better job. We usually eat dinner later than I would like because Daddy will work late. Then it's rush to get three kids bathed, one kid's nightly school reading done, stories for all, the 3 year old needs someone to lay down, oh wait, did we give the baby her medicine? Wake her up, give her meds, back down, find the 6 year old downstairs in my bed because she is so sad because she has no one to sleep with, take her upstairs, lay down with her, fall asleep on accident, wake up at 2 am because the baby is crying, get her settled, and then finally make it to my own bed. Or something like that! :) Wouldn't trade it.
